The Skills for Success are the nine skills the Canadian government has identified everyone needs to be successful in work, learning and life. Today we're continuing our look at the Skills for Success by talking about Communication.
According to the Canadian government, communication is your ability to receive, understand, consider, and share information and ideas through speaking, listening, and interacting with others. For example, we use this skill to listen to instructions, serve customers and discuss ideas. Strong communication skills help you listen and understand others, and share information in a way that others can clearly understand. You need good communication skills to work as part of a team, understand different points of view, and solve problems - both at work and in your daily life.
