One of the nine Essential Skills (which so closely align with the OALCF) was “computer use,” and Literacy and Basic Skills programs have been helping learners learn to use computers and other technology for many years. With the introduction of the Skills for Success, the scope of computer use has been expanded to reflect the realities of today’s digital age - which includes the use of different digital devices, platforms, and apps.
We invite you to visit the Digital Delivery page on the Literacy Resources and Discussion Forum to access new resources from organizations like Community Literacy of Ontario (CLO), Laubach Literacy Ontario (LLO), and the Ontario Association of Adult and Continuing Education School Board Administrators (CESBA).
Resource topics include using smartphones, online banking, using social media platforms, making safe choices online, and more.
