The Employer Resource Hub was developed with the support of Ontario's Skills Development Fund. This Employment Ontario project is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.
With funding from the province of Ontario’s Skills Development Fund, Literacy Link South Central (LLSC) in partnership with Literacy Link Eastern Ontario, undertook a one-year project to address literacy skills gaps in workplaces. We were able to partner with workplaces to determine the specific literacy needs of employers and employees. We used authentic documents and scenarios as tools for training. In the end, we developed and delivered training in workplaces which met the needs of employers and employees. With this innovative approach, we were able to meet employees where they work, both literally and figuratively.
