This is a subtitle for your new post

Join Literacy Link South Central on Thursday June 6th, 2019 for a Trauma-Informed Practice workshop, designed to increase your understanding of the impacts of trauma, as well as the value of providing services that are trauma-informed. The first half of the workshop focuses on understanding key principles: understanding trauma, building trust, and using strengths-base approaches to service provision. The second half of the workshop provides practical tools for integrating trauma-informed concepts into service delivery.

The workshop will run from 10:00 am to noon, and a networking lunch (included in your ticket price) will follow. Please advise us of any dietary needs in advance.

Today we're continuing our look at the Skills for Success by talking about Writing . According to the Canadian government, writing is how we share information using written words, symbols, and images. For example, we use this skill to fill out forms and applications, and write emails, reports and social media posts. Learn more about writing and the other Skills for Success here , and think about the writing you do on an average day, from grocery lists to reminders to homework. If you'd like to build your reading, writing, creativity, problem solving, and other Skills for Success, Ontario's adult literacy programs offer free, individualized training that can help.
