Tamara Kaattari

Tamara Kaattari has been the Executive Director of Literacy Link South Central since 1996, and its Co-Executive Director since 2023. 

She has an Honours degree in English and has further credentials in Teaching English as a Second Language, Adult Education, Editing and Evaluation. She is truly a lifelong learner. Tamara began her work in the literacy field as a tutor in a community-based agency. She recognizes the changing powers of literacy and education, and she is committed to building a dynamic and effective literacy system. 

Tamara takes a lead role in Service Planning for Literacy Link South Central. She brings her enthusiasm for literacy and her 20+ years of experience and knowledge of the literacy system to each local
conversation. Provincially, Tamara is actively involved in several committees to provide informed advice to the government about the needs and trends in Ontario’s literacy system.
